Learn While Having Fun
CHESS KIDS CHESS takes a little while to learn, but, once you’ve learned it, you can enjoy playing it forever. It’s the kind of game you never outgrow, and this site makes it fun to learn. After you’ve learned the basics, you can get REALLY GOOD at chess by going to the Brain Games section on chess. Then you can play other people online. MUSEUM KIDS The METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART is a good place to go if you’re visiting New York. But you don’t have to go to New York to learn some great things about art. The MUSEUM KIDS page has things “For Kids To Try Right Now.” They’re fun and you can learn a lot about art.

How can we get rid of our “angries?” ANGRIES OUT can help you with that. Just poke around the site, especially the section that says, “For Kids.” You’ll find that Lynn Namka tells lots of ways to get the angries out. You’ll feel a lot better when you do. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THEY HAD A COOL SITE LIKE THIS? Below is the address of the KIDS' PAGE of the . . . (brace yourself) . . . National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. NIEHS for short. It's got fun puzzles and brainteasers for kids, and it's also got a section on Hurricane Katrina and one on "Pandemic Flu, What Should I Do?" If you worry about such things as flu pandemics and hurricanes, you may find this page just the thing to explain things in a non-scary way. http://www.niehs.nih.gov/kids/home.htm |
